Currently the Special Access program through Health Canada allows access to MDMA for patients with treatment resistant PTSD, End of Life Distress, and Depressive Disorders. There is a need for individuals trained in the use of psychedelic medicines to work with this patient population. As more medicines become available, this need will grow. Obtaining certification in Psychedelic Therapy will put you at the forefront of providing this essential treatment.

Grof® Legacy Psychedelic Therapy

Explore Our Psychedelic Therapy Certification Program

A certificant in Grof® Psychedelic Therapy (GPT) is a graduate of one of the worldwide Grof Legacy Psychedelic Training programs. In Canada, the Grof Psychedelic Training Academy is the sole provider of this training. Trainees must be healthcare professionals and hold registration with their specific regulatory college.

Graduates from our program will have completed the necessary coursework, retreats, and have demonstrated the required exit competencies as outlined by our program. GPTs will understand the safe and ethical application of the psychedelic medicines they have been trained in and are individually responsible to know and follow the laws of their province and country. It is expected that they will continue with life-long learning and remain current with their skills. It is also expected that GPTs will work within their scope of practice as defined by their regulatory body while incorporating the skill and knowledge from their education with the Grof Psychedelic Training Academy.

Grof® Legacy Psychedelic Therapy

Get Certified in Psychedelic Therapy

A certificant of the Grof® Psychedelic Training Academy becomes a member of the worldwide Grof® Legacy Training Community. In Canada, it is expected that certificants without a regulatory college will work with those that have authority to prescribe psychedelic medicines.

The certificant is expected to continue with life-long learning and remain current with their skills.

Grof Breathwork Facilitator

A Grof Breathwork Facilitator (GBF) is a graduate of one of the worldwide Grof Legacy Training programs. In Canada, the Grof Psychedelic Training Academy is the sole provider of Grof ® Breathwork training. The training in Grof Breathwork is academic and experiential. Trainees in Breathwork are not required to be healthcare professionals unless they plan for dual certification in Psychedelic Therapy.

Graduates from our program will have completed the necessary coursework, retreats, and have demonstrated the required exit competencies as outlined by our program. GBFs will understand the safe and ethical use of Breathwork, and will be skilled in facilitating and dealing with all manifestations of holotropic states of consciousness. It is expected that they will continue with life-long learning and remain current with their skills. It is also expected that GBFs incorporate the skill and knowledge from their education with the Grof Psychedelic Training Academy-Breathwork training program.
